John Weiss & Son Ltd, leading UK ophthalmic surgical instrument manufacturer and distributor for Morcher Intraocular Lenses in the United Kingdom, has launched the new Irismatch Implant, combining a Morcher quality implant and a superior cosmetic result for aniridia patients.
The new Morcher aniridia IOL with individual iris pattern represents a major advance since the first black aniridia IOL lenses were introduced by Morcher in 1991. The Irismatch implant is composed of a central 4mm optic and a coloured diaphragm with an iris pattern. The iris print is selected by means of the colour chart as illustrated. By offering patients 55 different iris colours, Irismatch not only treats aniridia in combination with cataract, but also takes into account cosmetic rehabilitiation.
Because each Irismatch Implant is custom-made, each order must include the Model reference number, the dioptre, colour code from the colour chart and the colour chart version number.
